A good dictionary is one that enables you to find what you’re looking for quickly. Just type in a search word or expression. Lexibase will perform the search and display translations, suggestions, compound words containing the search, words and expressions from the collaborative dictionary (if there are any). The result is displayed very fast, using a colourful, user-friendly layout. It couldn’t be easier.

Powerful search functions

Fast, user-friendly access, with a single click: by clicking on a word or by selecting an expression, a contextual menu allows you to search, copy, pronounce, conjugate, or even add an entry to your collaborative dictionary, depending on the options chosen by your administrator.

User and collaborative dictionaries

Lexibase Intranet allows each user to create his or her own entries (words or expressions) and to take part in the creation of the collaborative dictionary (optional module). The user can access a specific module to display or correct his or her own entries. Entries from other users will only be accessible after validation by the dictionary administrator. Dictionary search results are from both main and collaborative dictionaries. Following a search in the main dictionary, the results window will display words and phrases from the main dictionaries as well as to the collaborative dictionary.

An intelligent conjugator with educational value

As an additional tool to help you improve your language skills, Lexibase Intranet integrates a conjugation module for 4 languages (French, English, German and Spanish). As well as conjugating all verbs in all tenses, it can also recognize conjugated forms (such as ''vu'', ''allé' in French, ''sido'' in Spanish or ''geht'' in German) and directly displays the required conjugation table.

Dictionaries with voice

The pronunciation module can be installed on your server for each dictionary language (optional module). Each word or expression can be pronounced realistically and at adjustable speed. Even sections of text (in a special window) can be pronounced in the language of your choice. You can even key or copy a text and listen to its pronunciation in the language of your choice.
